Developing the RIGHT PSYCHOLOGY is a must for any Entrepreneur or Investor Psychology. This is quite simply the one area that those successful individuals understand that the less successful still often treat with scepticism. When you look around the room at our initial Rich Dad training, you'll often see lots of individuals asking certain questions:
"How will you make me rich?"
"How will you earn me lots of money?"
"“How can you make me financially free?"
Unfortunately, many of these same individuals feel that "attitude" is a waste of time when, in retrospect, the reality is that their attitude is the most important thing they could change. We all understand that you need to believe you can win, and you need to have a positive attitude. In the world of sports, this concept is a given. Yet, in the world of business, this same principle needs to be understood.
Look at all the self-help books and DVDs for sale. They all discuss having the right psychology and attitude. There is obviously a common connection here. Not that it is often easy to discuss or speak about the subject, but it is essential for your success. We can all learn the rules of business, the tips on investing and the principles of cash flow. In fact, we all need to learn these lessons, but unless we have the right attitude to put these lessons into practice, we are far less likely to be successful using these tools.
But, can we develop the right psychology? Yes, we can!
As a child, we are born with an inquisitive nature and a can-do attitude. However, often during childhood, we lose some of these characteristics often because society tries to protect children and inadvertently teaches them negativity, caution, restrictions, barriers and obstacles in life. Therefore, it's essential that we reanalyze our attitudes later in life and renew our initial can-do, positive attitude. That way, we can educate ourselves to understand when to walk away from an obstacle, when to push through it and when to go around it. Regardless, we must change our attitude to not be afraid of an obstacle. It should simply be addressed as a challenge, and we must believe that we can overcome that challenge to become more successful. To become a more positive person, you have to walk away from negativity and sometimes the negative people poisoning your life.
When Robert Kiyosaki spoke in London last year, he mentioned other motivational and entrepreneurial people including Anthony Robbins, Donald Trump and George Foreman. He didn't mention these superstars simply to be name-dropping but rather because he surrounds himself with positive people who have the right attitude. We should all do that! |
